By BACT Media Unit – 14 May 2024

Approximately 21,000 women, and 250 men, will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024 – on average, 59 people every day.

Australia, however, has one of the best breast cancer survival rates in the world.

While the incidence rate of women and men being diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia is increasing, the mortality rate from breast cancer is decreasing. And this is why raising funds for world-class breast cancer research is more important than ever, if we want to change the statistics and rates for the better.

So be part of Basketball ACT’s THINK PINK this May and donate and support Breast Cancer Research.

In 2024, BACT is expanding our annual Pink Round to a THINK PINK Week from 18-26 May – to encompass our entire basketball community.  THINK PINK Week will aim to raise awareness and much needed funds to support research into breast cancer.  With breast cancer touching just about everyone in some way, do your part to help

BACT’s THINK PINK Week will encompass activities across the following:

  • 18 May – Round 7 – NBL1 East – v Bandits @ Tuggeranong Southern Cross Stadium;
  • 18 May – Round 9 – Waratah League v Heat @ Tuggeranong Southern Cross Stadium;
