MOLTEN JUNIOR PREMIER LEAGUE GRAND FINAL PREVIEWS
The Molten Junior Premier League Grand Final weekend is upon us, with a stack of big time games on at Belconnen Basketball Stadium on Saturday and Sunday – 16 and 17 September 2023.
To get you up to speed, here are our Grand Final Previews.
It’s an early start on Super Saturday with the Molten Junior Premier League U12’s Grand Finals, setting the tone on-court for the 2023 Premier League Grand Finals.
At 10am, Rats (1) take on Dodgers (3) in Under 12 Girls for the Championship, with Addison Wojtaszak (Rats) and Gurasees Gill (Dodgers) in top form in their corresponding Semi-Finals last week.
At 11.30am, Roadrunners (1) play Dodgers (3) in the U12 Boys Grand Final, with Zach Stonham (Roadrunners) and Aaron Li (Dodgers) in hot form in last week’s semi-finals.
It’s a Stacked Sunday of Molten Junior Premier League Grand Final games with Under 14’s getting proceedings underway.
At 9.30am, Roadrunners (1) face Stallions (2) for the Girl’s crown, with 2023 Best and Fairest contenders Jordyn Townsend (Roadrunners) and Anabela Simovski (Stallions) expected to play a big part in their team’s success.
At 11am, Rats (1) go up against TSC (3) for the Under 14’s title, with 2023 Best and Fairest contenders Jack Djokic (TSC) and Reuben Ritchie (Rats) in sizzling form heading into this match.
At 12.30pm, Roadrunners (1) play Daramalan (2) in Under 16 Girls, with Hena Lomu (Daramalan) and Millie Boutzos (Roadrunners), both team-high scorers in last week’s Semi-Finals, ones to keep an eye on.
At 2.15pm, Stallions (3) face Rats (4) in a big clash for the U16’s Championship, with Ryan Gooch (Rats) and Ezra Adisa (Stallions) taking cracking Semi-Final form into the big game.
At 4pm, the Under 19 Boys Div 2 Grand Final will see Warriors (1) go head-to-head with Roadrunners (2), with Sidney Street (Warriors) and Solomon Duggan (Roadrunners) leading the charge for their respective teams.
At 5.45pm, Dodgers (1) face Daramalan (2) in the Under 19 Girls Grand Final, with Ava Boyes (Dodgers) and Sophie McWatt (Daramalan) in sensational Semi-Final form heading into the decider.
At 7.30pm, Under 19 Boys Grand Final gets underway with Rats (1) taking on Stallions (2), with Antony Simovski (Stallions) and Mason Bruce (Rats) expected to have big bearings on the final results.
Make sure you don your team colours, and get down to Belconnen Basketball Stadium this weekend to cheer on your team. It will be a warm one, so drop into Oatley Burgers and Cafe for a cool drink (and some hot chips) and settle in.
